New Year Updates

Welcome to 2025!

We’re excited (and sad) to share major news.

Looking Back at 2024

We’ve officially been in business for one year! It’s been a crazy year of operations here at the studio.

Last year, we tabled at six art shows in the DMV. Six! That’s a lot for the two of us in our first year. On top of that, we exhibited at two art galleries: a solo exhibit and a group exhibit — both of which were our firsts. We debuted the pilot issue of Black Box at Small Press Expo. We were even featured in the local newspaper and became representatives of a local community arts organization.

We’ve been so grateful for your support of our studio this past year. Thank you so very, very much!

Looking Forward to 2025

This year, we have our biggest exhibition as a jury-selected artist at the Society of Illustrators in New York City! We’re thrilled and honored by the jury’s acceptance, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you this Feb 28th. We will also be tabling at Awesome Con 2025 in Washington DC from April 4th to 6th.

That brings us to the major news: Awesome Con was our first show; it will also be our final show.

Yep, you read that right. After one year of operations, Art by Courage will be closing this April 2025. But don’t despair! We will be moving our studio to a soon-to-be-announced new location.

We will be on hiatus while we get settled in a new area. We will continue to create new illustrations, content, and graphic novels to be shared on our website and relevant platforms. Black Box will still be in development and open for agent representation. We are also working on a new project we aim to announce in Q4.

At this time, the only major change is that our Etsy shop is closed. If you are interested in purchasing art prints, please peruse our INPRNT shop or come see us at Awesome Con 2025 this April for our full catalog. And as always…

Thank you for supporting our studio and debut!
