Sharing the success of our shows in Summer 2024
This summer, we exhibited at Fairfax Comic Con 2024 and Conjutsu 2024! This was tough to do, as the conventions were on subsequent weekends. We planned it out and finally saw the fruits of our labor with a profitable show.
Across both events, we found success by improving our display, creating small products, engaging with attendees, and promoting our original illustrations and graphic novel, BLACK BOX.
Fairfax Comic Con started in 2018 and celebrates geek culture in Chantilly, VA. It was held from August 17-18, 2024 at the Dulles Expo Center. This was a medium-sized convention, and it was our first successful show. Check out our video reflection about it on YouTube. The foot traffic at this event was quite good, so we were busy all day. Hopefully, next year, we’ll get to check out the programming!
Conjutsu is an anime and pop culture convention in Fairfax, VA. It was held from August 24-25, 2024 at the Fairfax Marriott. This was our second small convention of the year, so we went in with commensurate expectations. Surprisingly, this show was a small success! Despite the long hours, we met many wonderful local artists and enjoyed the cosplay contest and musical performances. We could return next year, hoping the convention will attract more attendees.
As we say bye to Summer and hello to Fall, we’re excited to share what’s coming up next for our studio. Please join our mailing list and follow us on social media for updates. Thanks for supporting ART by COURAGE!
